About Riversdale

Despite being one of Saskatoon’s oldest areas, Riversdale is breathing new life attracting attention with its proximity to downtown and the South Saskatchewan River. 20th Street engages the community with many modern shops, new cafes and restaurants. The Midtown Plaza Shopping Center, Scotiabank Cinemas and the Saskatoon Farmers Market are within walking distance, as well as a large variety of other services and amenities. Character and charm are evident throughout Riversdale which is home to nine heritage buildings, two of which are the Adilman Building and Little Chief Community Police Station. Riversdale Swimming Pool is open during the summer months giving residents an opportunity to take a refreshing dip or ride down the waterslide. Princess Alexandra, the public elementary school, is available to children from kindergarten to grade 8. Four beautiful churches are situated in the area, and there are many other attractions for those interested in culture and the arts.
